AISkinScan

About AISkinScan

AISkinScan is an AI-assisted skin screening tool. From a single selfie, it gives you a clear, region-by-region picture of five common skin concerns — and makes it easy to share that picture with a real dermatologist.

Why we built it

Most people notice changes in their skin long before they see a specialist, and many never get an expert opinion at all. Skincare advice online is often contradictory or driven by product sales. We wanted to give people an objective starting point: a consistent measurement of their skin that they can track over time, understand in plain language, and take to a doctor when something needs attention.

How the analysis works

When you take a photo, we first check its quality — lighting, sharpness, and whether your face is clearly visible. Photos that would give a misleading result are rejected instead of scored. A face-mesh model then maps 468 landmark points and divides your face into eight regions, such as the forehead, cheeks, nose, chin and under-eye areas.

Separate analysis modules score acne, pigmentation, wrinkles and fine lines, dryness and texture, and dark circles from 0 to 100 in each region. These combine into an overall skin score, a grade and an estimated skin type. Our acne model was trained on dermatologist-graded photos and agrees with expert severity grading roughly 83% of the time.

What AISkinScan is not

AISkinScan is a screening and educational tool. It is not a medical device, it does not diagnose disease, and it cannot replace an examination by a qualified dermatologist. Every report says this clearly, and flagged results can be sent to a certified dermatologist on the platform for review. Please read our medical disclaimer for full details.

Your privacy

Your photo is used to generate your report. We do not sell your personal data, and your scan is shared with a dermatologist only when you choose to consult one. Our privacy policy explains exactly what we collect and how it is stored.
